The "Soft Sleeper" to Hue

Jan. 17, HUE

Just a quick update to let y'all know where we are - we left Hanoi yesterday evening via overnight train in a soft-sleeper cabin. Each cabin has 4 beds, and our cabin mates were an awesome pair of college students from Indonesia, Amri and Rain. Now we're in Hue, a city central coast Vietnam, in a very charming backpacker's hostel.

A brief word about the so-called "soft-sleeper" beds: they are NOT soft!! The only way I knew I'd slept was that I'd remembered having a few weird dreams. I can only guess what a "hard-sleeper" feels like.

Note: this picture is tiny because we missed our beauty sleep. Let your imagination fill in the blanks.
